Spartan believes that matching he skill sets to the requirements is the easier part of the equation made more difficult by the other element - human nature; and the personal dynamics of candidate, customer and team.
Spartan Resources recognizes that our most important task is providing you with superior personnel. In order to ensure the candidates we submit are the best suited for the requirement, we have an extensive selection process. However, we can also customize our processes to fit within your company’s framework and procedures.
Outlined below is a flow chart and overview of the standard sequence of events that Spartan Resources implements when servicing our clients’ requirements:

The first step is the responsibility of the client to communicate the position description and specific skills desired in a candidate for the open position. This is information can be conveyed by meeting, e-mail, fax or telephone.
Upon receiving the details of an open position from the client, we may require a brief follow up call in order to gather a few more details or to answer any questions we may have about the details we received. We understand the value of our clients’ time, but feel this step will eliminate any time that may be spent during the process by the client having to review resumes or interview candidates whose skills or background may not be a match to the position requirements.
After receiving all the details regarding the requirement, we then conduct a customized search identifying potential candidates with the desired skills and background for the open position. We utilize the most effective recruiting and networking techniques to identify all possible candidates meeting the client’s requirements.
Spartan Resources then performs an interview and reconfirms that candidate’s availability, skill sets, and pay rate fit the requirements for the open position. During this interview we will also administer technical screening of the candidate using our internal testing methods, or we can also administer any screening tools that are provided to us by the client.
After this process has been completed Spartan Resources submits the most qualified candidate to your company. Along with the resume of the candidate we will also provide a candidate summary with the following details:
- The candidates current employment situation and details as to why they are seeking a new position
- A brief summary on how the candidates background aligns with the position requirements
- The amount of notice time the candidate will need to phone screen, interview in person, and start following an offer
- The hourly bill rate or annual salary requirements of the candidate depending on whether the position will be contract or permanent.
- Any other information that will be helpful to the client during the interviewing and selection process, Spartan Resources will then coordinate between the client and the candidate during the entire interview process, act as a liaison for each side during the offer process, as well as confirm and coordinate the start date of the candidate.
Prior to the start date of the client, Spartan Resources will gather all candidate documentation required by the client, as well as administer and process all necessary on-boarding paperwork. We also perform all criminal background checks, credit checks, reference checks, and drug screens upon request prior to engagement.
